The "Blue Sand Guards" are a common enemy encountered in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

Official Description[]

"This particular enemy isn't the toughest, but they are certainly one of the most lethal when fighting in groups. These Sand Creatures wield a double-bladed halberd that is used to counter a vaulting attack by unleashing an attack of their own. It can be difficult to land a clean hit against this enemy, so move around and try to lure them toward a wall to launch a wall rebound attack."
—Official Booklet Description[1]

Biography[]

They accompanied the Prince and Shahraman to Azad after conquering the Maharajah's kingdom in India. When the Prince opened the Hourglass of Time, these men were soldiers of Persia before being transformed by Sands of Time.

Gameplay[]

Strategy[]

The Blue Sand Guards are powerful soldiers adorned in blue armor. They carry a double-bladed halberd as their primary weapon. What makes them so deadly is their ability to block nearly any of the Prince's attacks. The player's best bet to defeat them is to use a wall rebound attack, as they cannot be vaulted over. If attempted, they will knock the Prince down, just like the Blue Sand Generals. If time is slowed down, they can be vaulted over or frozen using the Dagger of Time.
