Sand Bats are a common animal enemy in The Sands of Time
Biography[]
After the release of the Sands of Time in Azad, these small, winged pests became hideously transformed by the Sands and developed a taste for blood.[1] Dwelling in large dark areas of Azad, they attack the Prince in swarms and only relent when all but three are killed.

Like the Sand Vultures and Scarabs, the Sand Bats do not reward the Prince with sand when killed. Similarly, their strength lies in their numbers. They are typically located high up in the rafters of the palace and attack the Prince on sight or flee when their perches have been disturbed. They surround the Prince while he is performing acrobatics and can cause him to lose his balance or grip and fall unless they are swiftly destroyed.[1]
