Biography[]

Prince of Persia[]

The Princess was the only daughter of the Sultan of Astrabad. She was thought to be beautiful, like the "moonrise in a clear heaven". When Sultan left his kingdom to fight in a foreign land, the Princess fell in love with a young traveler who climbed the palace wall to see her.[4]

This did not please the Sultan's Grand Vizier Jaffar who meant to marry the Princess himself. Seizing power, Jaffar had his rival thrown into the dungeon, but the young man escaped and struck down the evil magician and saved the Princess.[4]

Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame[]

When he learned of his Vizier's treachery, the grateful Sultan offered riches but the stranger requested to marry the Princess. The Princess and the Prince were married. They lived together in peace for eleven days.[3]

Jaffar was revived somehow, and was out for revenge. He takes the Prince's identity, and once again seizes power over the kingdom. The Princess tries to inform her father, but Jaffar catches her and locks her in a magical coma. The Prince eventually manages to kill Jaffar and save her.[3]

Prince of Persia 3D[]

When visiting the kingdom of Sultan's brother Assan with her father and the Prince, the three are captured by King Assan's men. Many years ago, the Sultan had promised Assan that his daughter would marry Assan's son, Rugnor once they turned 21, with her uncle trying to force his brother and niece to keep this vow.

During the Prince's fight with her uncle, Assan kills her father with a dagger meant for the prince. Before the Sultan dies, the Sultan discloses points to the Dirigible indicating that the Princess is planned to be taken away. Rugnor visits the Princess in her room and she is shocked to see that Rugnor is a monstrous hybrid of tiger and human. Rugnor tells her that the Prince is dead and they are now free to marry.

When the Princess was taken to the Dirigible by Rugnor and his men, she saw the Prince and called out to him.

The Prince managed to climb to the top of the Dirigible, but just before Prince reached the Princess, Rugnor used a giant bird to take Princess to the temple in the mountains, whilst the Prince fell to the ground trying to jump onto the bird.

It is here the grieving Princess was once more approached by Rugnor, whom offers to comfort her and tells her to move on from the "beggar prince". When she refuses, Rugnor gets violent and says she'll have to accept him as her husband. The Princess pretended to accept this only to grab his sword and cut off Rugnor's clawed hand when he tries to grab her. Infuriated, Rugnor roared and knocked her out.

Rugnor, now with an artificial hand and having had enough of the Princess's rebellious behavior, ropes the princess to a giant gear in the Moon Temple, giving her the final offer to marry him or die; the princess spits in Rugnor's face and he starts the machine. The Prince managed to reach them in time, kill Rugnor and stop the gears before the Princess was crushed. They then sit on the Lamassu and fly in the opposite direction of Persia. [5]
