The Tree of Life is a sacred tree residing within an ancient temple in the Persian desert.
Background[]
It is the prison of Ahriman, the God of Darkness. His brother Ormazd, the God of Light, had imprisoned him within the tree and left the Ahura tribe to guard the fragile tree to prevent Ahriman from ever escaping again. During the events of Prince of Persia, Ahriman breaks free from his prison with the aid of the Mourning King.
This released all of Ahriman's Corruption and his Corrupted into the world causing chaos. Now the Prince and Elika, a young princess of the Ahura and daughter of the Mourning King are burdened with the task to stop Ahriman once and for all, and place him back into the Tree of Life. At the front of the entrance to the Tree of Life's temple lies the grave of Elika's mother.
