Biography[]

Early Life[]

Jaffar had allied himself with a Witch who served the Serpent God and she gave Jaffar his powers[1].

Prince of Persia[]

Jaffar, the Grand Vizier of Sultan of Persia has been working on his plans for 17 years[2] and most of the Palace Guards were loyal to him[3]. When the Sultan was on a foreign land fighting a war, Jaffar took over the role of the rule, he taxed the people heavily[4].

Jaffar wanted very much to marry the Princess. After finding a young man with the Princess in the royal garden, Jaffar flew into a rage and had his rival for her affections thrown into the dungeons[5]. Jaffar, not wanting to force himself on the Princess, locked her up in the place tower and gave her an hour to decide if she wanted to marry him or die[2]. But the young man escaped the prison. Jaffar did everything in his power to stop him, even created a magic mirror that released a Shadow Man of the boy. The boy prevailed and challenged the evil magician directly in combat, during the combat Jaffar fell off of the ledge and died[6].

When the Sultan learned of his Vizier's treachery, the grateful Sultan offered riches to the young man, but the stranger requested for just one reward. And so the young lovers were wed and they lived happily... for eleven days[7].

The Shadow and the Flame[]

Jaffar was revived by the Witch and given even more power, now he was out for revenge[8]. He managed to steal the Prince's identity and once again seized power over the kingdom. He then trapped the princess in a coma when she started to suspect that he was not her Prince. The Prince returned and challenged Jaffar once again, but Jaffar trapped the Prince in a nightmare world. The Prince however had come into possession of the Blue Flame, and used it to defeat Jaffar in the nightmare, which cased him to burst into flame in the real world[8]. Afterwards the Prince gathered up Jaffar's ashes and ordered them to be scattered to the wind[7].
