- "He's the one the Empress wants dead!"
Keepers are a common enemy encountered in Prince of Persia: Warrior Within.
- "Keepers are fierce warriors, capable of devastatingly powerful attacks. However, their combat skill is offset by remnants of their self-serving personalities. They are often too busy seeking approval from their superiors (Executioners) and berating their subordinates to function effectively. It is wise to exploit this weakness"
- —Official Booklet Description
The Keepers were commanded by Shahdee, who was sent by ship to attack and kill the Prince before he could arrive to the Island of Time to kill Kaileena. Following the failure of their mission, Keepers are largely located on the the Beach and the Cliffs of the Island of Time. They are later encountered throughout the Fortress of Time.
Keepers are slow on account of their heavy armor, which can be used to the advantage of the player during combat with the Prince. However, Keepers can knock a player down and kill them in one hit if the opportunity presents itself. In addition, they are high in stamina and their armor makes it hard for the player to wear them down.
Keepers do not block and their attacks are easy for the player to avoid. However, it is rare for one to encounter a single raider as they are often fought in packs and are usually accompanied by Executioners.
Later in the game, they are especially easy to kill if the player has the Scorpion Sword or the Water Sword. The Keepers normally make shrieking noises as soon as they see you, either to notify the other Keepers nearby. During combat, they taunt the Prince as he approaches on occasion. They are the weakest enemies in the game, aside from Crows.
- According the enemy video that is unlockable in the video gallery for Warrior Within, Keepers are named "Raiders". In the official strategy guide, they're referred to as "Keepers".
