Ormazd is the god of light and good and brother to Ahriman, both lived keeping the world in balance until Ahriman wanted more power, resulting him attacking Ormazd, causing an all-out war between the two gods.
Ormazd created his chosen people, the Ahura, he gave them the powers of light and taught them everything they needed to defeat Ahriman.
In the end, after a cosmic struggle between the light and the dark forces, Ormazd succeeds in vanquishing Ahriman, trapping him into the magical Tree of Life.
After seeing the destruction the war caused, he ascended into the stars, guiding and leaving behind his people, the Ahura, to guard and protect the Tree of Life.
Powers of Ormazd

These powers are the gifts Ormazd gave to the Ahura to guard the Tree of Life. They are used by Elika in the 2008 game Prince of Persia.
- Step of Ormazd - Gives the blessed the power to jump between Step of Ormazd's plates; used primarily in the Ruined Citadel & the Vale.
- Hand of Ormazd - Gives the blessed the power to be carried between Hand of Ormazd's plates; used primarily in the Royal Palace & the City of Light.
- Breath of Ormazd - Gives the blessed the power to run up on vertical walls between Breath of Ormazd's plates; used primarily in the Vale & the City of Light.
- Wings of Ormazd - Gives the blessed the power to fly between Wings of Ormazd's plates; used primarily in the Ruined Citadel & the Royal Palace.
- Energize - Gives the blessed the power to reconstruct destroyed areas of the environment to create a path for a period of time; used in the Epilogue.

- In Zoroastrianism, Ormazd (Ahura Mazda) is a divinity exalted by Zoroastrians as the one uncreated Creator, hence God.
